Bozeman Symphony and Montana Shakespeare in the Parks Offer Free Community Concerts

BOZEMAN, Mont. –The Bozeman Symphony in partnership with Montana Shakespeare in the Parks (MSIP) announces a series of free concerts featuring ensembles of its musicians throughout the state this summer. Most of the concerts will precede MSIP’s theatre productions as part of their summer tour, providing a unique blend of classical music and Shakespearean drama.

The concert series kicks off with a String Quartet performance in Bozeman on Thursday, June 20, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Montana State University Duck Pond, just before the presentation of The Winter’s Tale. On Saturday, June 29, a String Ensemble will perform from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. at the Makoshika State Park Amphitheater in Glendive, before Hamlet. The series continues with a Voice Ensemble concert at Elling House in Virginia City on Friday, July 12, from 7 to 8:15 p.m.

Three additional performances are scheduled for early September. An ensemble will perform at Stodden Park in Butte on Monday, Sept. 2, from 4:30-5:15 p.m. before Hamlet. On Saturday, Sept. 7, from 4 to 4:45 p.m., a concert will be held at Pony Park in Pony preceding The Winter’s Tale. The final concert will take place at the Twin Bridges soccer field at Riverside Park/Fairgrounds on Monday, Sept. 9, from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m., also before The Winter’s Tale.

For over 30 years, the Bozeman Symphony has enriched the lives of individuals across Bozeman and rural communities in the Greater Yellowstone region through its Far Afield community outreach program. This initiative aims to bring professional classical chamber music performances to rural and underserved areas, inspiring and uniting audiences throughout Montana.
